Answer:

x = 6 cm

Explanation:

Area of T = 269.5 cm²

Area of S = 22 cm²

Length of side of T = 21 cm

Length of side of S = x

Area of T : Area of S = square of length side of T : square of length side of S (x)

Thus:

269.5/22 = 21²/x²

Cross multiply

x² × 269.5 = 21² × 22

x² × 269.5 = 9,702

Divide both sides by 269.5

x² = 9,702/269.5

x² = 36

x = √36

x = 6 cm
