Explanation:

parallel lines so slope of the lines will be equal.

m1 = m2

y = mx + b,

y = -3x + b

substituting y = -1 and x = 2

-1 = -3(2) + b

-1 = -6 + b

therefore, b = -1 + 6

b = 5

by substituting b = +5

therefore, the equation is,

y = -3x + 5
