Let assume that each grid represents 5 units.

Then for rectangle A:

= length × breath

= (3boxes × 5units)cm × (5boxes × 5units)cm

= 15 cm × 25 cm

= 375 cm²

For rectangle B

= length × breadth

= (2boxes × 5units) cm × (6boxes × 5 units)cm

= 10 cm × 30 cm

= 300 cm²

S, from the above calculation, it is obvious that rectangle A has a larger area.
