First change the 2 and 3/8 into a single fraction.

This will result in 19/8.

Change 7 into a fraction. This gives 7/1.

Then subtract:


(7)/(1) -(19)/(8)

LCM is 8


(56)/(8) -(19)/(8\\)

This results into 37/8 which can be written as a mixed fraction as 4 and 5/8
