Given :

The area of a triangle is found using the formula bh/2, where b is the base and h is the height. What is the area in square inches of a triangle with a height of 6 inches and a base of 8 inches?

Solution :

Given Data :

Height = 6 inches

Base = 8 inches

Formula for Area of traingle is :

\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \star \: \: \: \red{ \underline{ \red{ \overline{ \orange{ \boxed{ \pink{\frak{Area \: of \: Triangle = (1)/(2) × Base × Height }}}}}}}}

So, putting the values of Base and Height we get

\leadsto \frak{Area = (1)/(2) × 8 * 6 }

\leadsto \frak{Area = (1)/( \cancel2) × \cancel 8 * 6 }

\leadsto \frak{Area = 4 * 6 }

\leadsto \frak{Area = 24 \: {in}^(2) }

Hence, the area of the traingle is 24 inches²

Answer:

A = 24 in^2

Explanation:

A = 1/2 bh

Let b = 8 and h = 6

A = 1/2 (8)(6)

A = 24 in^2
