A group of fourteen friends got together for pizza. Everyone ordered their own small pan, thinking they were personal pan pizzas, but when the pizzas arrived, the friends realized there was enough food for six extra people! How many pizzas should they have ordered if they wanted to just feed the fourteen of them?

Answer: 10 Pizzas

Explanation:

Given

A group of 14 friends ordered small pan for each person to realize that they are sufficient for 6 more people that is

1 Pizza can feed

\Rightarrow (14+6)/(14)=(20)/(14)\\\\\Rightarrow (10)/(7)\ \text{Persons}

To feed 14 persons, pizzas required

\Rightarrow (14)/((10)/(7))=(7* 7)/(5)\\\\\Rightarrow (49)/(5)=9.8\approx 10\ \text{Pizzas}

So, 10 Pizzas are sufficient to feed 14 Persons
