There was a scale drawing of a rectangular garden you plan to build in your backyard. The drawing shows a width of 5 inches by 8 inches long. The actual length of the garden must be 24feet long. What is the width of the actual garden?

What is the area of the garden?

Answer:

15 feet width of actual garden

360 feet^2 is area

Explanation:

Scale in drawing:

width : length

Actual Meausrements:

x: 24

Actual Width = 5:8

x : 24

8x = 24 x 5
