In this case, the length is 12 and the width is 4 so 12*4 = 48

Step 2:

To find the area of the triangle you have to do the formula A = 1/2bh where b is the base 12, and h is the height (10-4) 6. So 6*12 = 72 and 72/2 is 36

Step 3:

Last you need to add the area of both the rectangle and the triangle to get the total area of 84 sq meters
