In the coordinate plane, the point X (-4,-4) is translated to the point X'(-6, 0). Under the same translation, the points

Y(0, 0) and Z (-1, -6) are translated to Y' and Z', respectively. What are the coordinates of Y' and Z'?

Answer: coordinate x is translated 2 unit left and the coordinate y is translated 4 units down

so y(5, -2) .......y' (3, -6)

z (0,0)...........z'(-2, -4)
