Mount Rushmore is not without controversy. It was built on land sacred to the Native Americans. In addition, the Sioux were forced off the land after a series of battles.

Mount Rushmore is a very cool sculpture. Every year, millions of people go to see the amazing 60ft carvings of the former American presidents, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. Mount Rushmore, however, isn’t perfect. While appearing to be flawless, it was built on the land that is sacred to the Native Americans. Not only that, but the Sioux were forced to move off the land after many fights.
