Answer:

about 8%

Explanation:

Current length: 30 cm

Current width: 20 cm

Original perimeter: (30 x 2) + (20 x 2) = 60 + 40 = 100 cm

Length increased by 10%: 30 cm + 3 cm = 33 cm

Width increased by 5%: 20 cm + 1 cm = 21 cm

New perimeter: (33 x 2) + (21 x 2) = 66 + 42 = 108 cm

The perimeter increased by 8 cm.

8 cm is 8% of 100 cm so the percent increase in the perimeter is 8%
