basically dialating a figure is making it smaller or larger by a certain amount and in this case it is 6 so you have to make each side of your square 6 times larger so each side would be 24 (of whatever unit you are using) so then you would calculate it by doing 24*24 to find the area and 24*4 to find the perimeter.
