Answer:

Explanation:

<Q is common to both triangles.

130 / 40 = 3.25

Call DQ = x

40/130 = x / (x + 72) Cross multiply

40*(x + 72) = 130*x

40x + 2880 = 130x Subtract 40 x from both sides

2880 = 90 x Divide by 90

x = 32

(72 + 32)/32 = 104/32 = 3,25

The ratios are the same.

Therefore the triangles are similar by SAS
