Answer:

slope is 1

Explanation:

from (-2, 5) to (2,9)

slope m= (y2-y1) / (x2-x1) = (9-5) / (2- -2) = 4 / 4 =1

*

you can think of how do you get from one point to the other

first point (-2, 5) go to second point (2,9)

-first on the y-axis (vertical) you start at 5 and go four up to get to 9

-second on the x-axis (horizontal) you start at -2 and go four right to get to 2

slope = change in y / change in x = four up /four right = 4/4 = 1

-moving down or to the left will make the numbers negative

Answer:

1

Explanation:

Let,

x1 = - 2

y1 = 5

x2 = 2

y2 = 9

Formula : -

Slope = ( y2 - y1 ) / ( x2 - x1 )

Slope

= ( 9 - 5 ) ) / ( 2 - ( - 2 )

= 4 / 4

= 1
