Find the slope: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

: (-2-4)/(2--1)

: -6/3

: -2 ...........this is the slope,(m) of the line

Find equation using: y - y1 = m ( x - x1 )

: y - 4 = -2 ( x - -1)

: y - 4 = -2x -2

: y = -2x + 2
