Garrett needs 10 apples on Sunday. The equation is 5+5=10 or 5x2=10.
5 apples = 1 pie
Garrett needs to make two pies so 5x2 or 5+5
5+5=10/5x2=10

To work it out, use ratios.
If
2
pounds of apples are required to make
5
pies, then
20
pies, which is
4
times as many pies you are making, will also require
4
times as many apples.
Therefore,
2
×
4
=
8
You will require
8
pounds of apples.
