Answer: 14 2/3

This is the same as saying
14(2)/(3) which is the mixed number 14 and 2/3

whole part = 14

fractional part = 2/3

==================================================

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the volume of a prism, we multiply the base area by the height.

The base area is shown in green as 7 1/3 square units.

This multiplies with the height 2 to get

2*(7 1/3) = 2*(7 + 1/3) = 2*(7) + 2*(1/3) = 14 + 2/3 = 14 2/3

As alternative notation, you can write 14 2/3 as 14 & 2/3.

Or you could write
14 (2)/(3). Keep in mind that this does not mean 14 times 2/3.
