What is the difference between a dominant trait and a recessive trait?

Dominant traits will be expressed even if there is one of them while for recessive both of the parents have to have a recessive trait

Answer:

If a trait is dominant, then you will only have to have at least one parent with a dominant trait for the offspring to inherit the trait.

If a trait is recessive, then you will only need one parent with a recessive trait for the offspring to be able to inherit the trait.

Answer:

Dominant traits will always be expressed if any amount is there. Recessive traits will only be expressed if two are there.
