Answer:

17

Explanation:

The formula of a distance between two points

A(x_A;\ y_A);\ B(x_B;\ y_B)\\\\|AB|=√((x_B-x_A)^2+(y_B-y_A)^2)

We have

A(3;\ 7);\ B(-5;\ -8)

Substitute

|AB|=√((-5-3)^2+(-8-7)^2)=√((-8)^2+(-15)^2)\\\\=√(64+225)=√(289)=17
