The length of a rectangle is 5 m longer than its width.

If the perimeter of the rectangle is 62 m, find its length and width.

Let the width be x then length be x + 5

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

62 = 2 ( l + b)

31 = x + x + 5

31 = 2x + 5

26 = 2x

x = 13

Length = 18m

Width = 13m
