9 taps with the same rate of flow can fill a tank in 18 minutes. If three taps are closed, how long will the remaining taps take to fill the tank?

If 9 can fill it in 18 min. it should take 6 24 min. to fill it.

Explanation:

first you have 9 taps but you close 3 of them so that means that you close 1/3 part of the taps so to the 18 mins also is going to increase 1/3 part of time and 1/3 of 18=6. we can say 18+6=24.
