Genni has a rectangular garden with a length of 3x+4 and a width of 6x-10.

Answer:

The total perimeter is 3x + 4 + 3x + 4 + 6x - 10 + 6x - 10 = 18x - 12

This means 18x - 12 = 42

18x = 54

x = 3

This means the side lengths are 13 and 8.

The area would be 13 * 8 = 104
