Since the length of BA and CD is 4, and the length of AD and BC is 7, you can use the Pythagorean theorem to find AC by forming right triangles.

Since A^2 +B^2 = C^2, 16+49= C^2

That means C^2 is 65, so you have to take the square root of 65.
