We can take the side length of the square which is 10 inches and multiply it by itself because the side length is the same on all sides (10*10)=100 We can then divide this by 2 and we get 50 square inches. Because we know that the triangle takes up the bottom and then has a point at the top. This means that if we convert it into a right triangle it will be exactly half of the square. So all we have to is divide the area of the square by 2.
