There are two loaf cakes. One is 36cm long and one is 27cm long. They want to cut the cake up and sell the slices, but all the slices must be equal. What is the largest slices that they can cut them into?

Answer:

9cm

Explanation:

find the common factor between the two numbers. in this case, 36/4 is 9 and 27/3 is 9. this means that you can have 3 pieces from the 27cm cake and 4 pieces from the 36cm cake. in total you would have 7 of the 9cm slices of cake. hope this help!
