Step-by-step explanation:

Living in poverty can bring adverse experiences in childhood due to the fact that often the lack of infrastructure and financial resources means that there is often no access to basic conditions to have an ideal quality of life, such as lack of food, water clean, access to education, leisure, etc.

Children often live in environments that are marginalized by society and are forced to work to help parents supplement their family income, and therefore drop out of school, may become involved in drug trafficking and other problematic issues.

Youth team sports are a solution that helps young people and teenagers to use their time productively, focusing on issues such as self-esteem, socialization, inclusion and physical and mental well-being. Sports programs for children living in favelas often have school attendance and productivity as a prerequisite, which encourages and motivates these young people to attend school.
