The error is line line 3. They did not probably square the numbers and only multiplied by two. Therefore line three should be 144+324=hypotenuse^2. Therefore line four should be 468 = hypotenuse^2. So the hypotenuse will be equal 6 square root of 13.

Line 3 is where the error begins. 12^2 is not equal to 24, it is equal to 144. Same for 18^2.

Answer:
468 = hypotenuse^2
Hypotenuse= square root of 468
