A = ab+3bh............................ Equation 1

Where A = surface area of the triangular prism, a = height of the base triangle, b = base of the triangle, h = height of the box.

make h the subject of the equation

h = (A-ab)/3b........................ Equation 2

Given: A = 439.2, a = 6.9, b = 8

Substitute into equation 2

h = [439.2-(6.9*8)]/(3*8)

h = (439.2-55.2)/24

h = 16.

Hence the height of the box is 16 unit
