1. Why do athletes need to consume more calories than their non-athlete peers?

2. After learning about basal metabolic rate and daily caloric intake, do you feel you need to make any changes to your current daily caloric intake? If yes, what changes and why?

Number one is because when playing their sport or practicing they burn calories so they need the extra calories so they have extra energy not just that it’s so they can stay at the same calorie number after burning that same amount of calories every time they get active and for number 2 you got to do it yourself because it’s what you think about your diet

1. Athletes tend to burn more calories since their sport is just like working out, on the other hand, non Athletes don't burn as much because they don't exercise as much.
