Step-by-step explanation:

The Women's world cup in soccer took place in the United States of America. in 1999. The American team also won the world cup. But, organizing the world cup was a task of monumental risk for the people who were responsible for organizing it. Most matches were organized in big stadiums which had huge audience capacity and thus also cost more. At the time, very little people had knowledge about the world cup happening. There was almost no excitement in the country regarding the event. The soccer is one of less popular sports in the states as compared to american football , or NBA.

The major risk was that people were not aware of other counties' players. All the American eyes were on American team. If the team had failed to perform as expected, the organizers could have suffered humongous losses.
