Explanation:

The midpoint formula is:

(x1 + x2) / 2, (y1 + y2) / 2

All you're doing is taking the average of the x coordinates and the average of the y coordinates.

You have that x1 = -3, x2 = -7, y1= -2, y2 = 11 so you can plug that in:

(-3 + -7) / 2, (-2 + 11) / 2

(-10) / 2, (9) / 2

(-5, 4.5) is the coordinate
