2( length + width ) = 628

2( w + 6 + w) = 628 {Combine like terms}

2*( 2w +6 ) = 628 {Distributive property}

4w + 12 = 628 {subtract 12 from both sides}

4w = 628 - 12

4w = 616 {Divide both sides by 4}

w = 616/4
