Without oceans there wouldn’t be much life left in existence...

See, oceans takes up most of the earths surface which most life is in the ocean.

The sun also evaporates the oceans water which leads to rain in the tropical areas. We would have only lakes left if oceans just disappeared. Soon we will run out of water from that unless we reuse it from certain situations.

We sometimes use ocean water for drinking after it has been boiled.

Probably where there would be no life bc the question says OCEANS so there could be life in lakes, ponds, and rivers but that’s just a guess
