for $6. If Sam sells a total of 80 pies one day and makes a total of $512, how many of each type of pie did she sell?

Answer:

7A + 6P = 512

Explanation:

A+P=80

P=80-A

7A+6(80-A)=512

7A+480-6A=512

A=32

80-32=48

Sam sold 32 apple pies and 48 pumpkin pies
