(x+2<5)\cup (x-7>-6)

To find:

The solution for x.

Solution:

We have,


(x+2<5)\cup (x-7>-6) ...(i)

Solve each inequality.


x+2<5


x<5-2


x<3

And,


x-7>-6


x>-6+7


x>1

It means (i) can be rewritten as


(x<3)\cup (x>1)

We know that "∪" means solution of x<3 or x>1 both are included in the solution set.

Solution = x<3 or x>1

Therefore, the correct option is B.
