(a-b)²= (a+b)^2-4ab

Explanation:

L.H.S=(a-b)^2=a^-2ab+b^2

R.H.S=(a+b)^2-4ab

=a^2+2ab+b^2-4ab

=a^2+b^2 -2ab

=a^2-2ab+b^2

∴L.H.S=R.H.S

Answer:

Explanation:

( a - b)² = ( a +b)² - 4ab

or

( a + b)² - (a-b)² = 4ab

LHS

( a + b)² - (a-b)²

= (a² + 2ab + b²) - (a² - 2ab + b²)

= a² + 2ab + b² - a² + 2ab - b²

= 4ab

RHS proved
