What are rational and irrational numbers and how are radicals related to rational exponents?

Answer:

Any number that can be written as a fraction with integers is called a rational number. An irrational number is a number that cannot be expressed as a fraction for any integers. Radicals are related because for irrational numbers they cannot be simplified under the radical and you use a radical on the exponent to cancel it out, hope this helps!

A rational numbers is any number that can be turned into a fraction/ratio. (Ex. 8, 0.75, 1/3). An irrational number is anything that can't be turned into a fraction/ratio. (Ex. Pi, square root of 2). Radicals and rational exponents are related because radicals can be converted into rational exponents.
