Answer:

• x=2y+9

Find the x-intercepts.

x-intercept(s):

(9,0)

Find the y-intercepts.

y-intercept(s):

(0,−9/2)

List the intersections.

x-intercept(s):

(9,0)

y-intercept(s):

(0,−9/2)

• 14x+2y=-54

To find the x-intercept, substitute in 0 for y and solve for x. To find the y-intercept, substitute in 0 for x and solve for y.

x-intercept(s):

(−27/7,0)

y-intercept(s):

(0,−27)

Okay uh

x = 2y + 9
14x + 2y = - 54

14x + 2y = - 54
14(2y + 9) + 2y = - 54
28y + 126 + 2y = -54
30y + 126 = -54
- 126 -126
30y = -180
30y/30 = -180/30
y = -6

x = 2y + 9
x = 2(-6) + 9
x = -12 + 9
x = -3

(x, y) = (-3, -6)
