Answer: Sociology is a science
Explanation:According to Auguste Comte and Durkheim, sociology is a science because it adopts and applies scientific methods. Although it cannot experiment in a laboratory, it still experiments with social behavior and is subject to scientific investigation like natural phenomena. It also employs methods such as skills of sociometry schedule, case study, interview, and questionnaire which is used to quantitatively measure social phenomenon.

Sociology is an empirical discipline. This means that Sociological conclusions are based on careful, accurate, and systematic observations. Observation is possible in the field of sociology even if it does not possess a laboratory. The whole social world is the laboratory of sociology.
