Let's see what relationship has the function g(x) and f(x):

  • g(x) = log 100x - 1 =
  • log 100 + log x - 1 =
  • 2 + log x - 1 =
  • log x + 1 =

  • g(x) = f(x) + 1

As we see the function g(x) is the translation of the function f(x) up by one unit
