Multiply the following polynomials and write your final answer in standard form (x+3) (x^2-2x-1)

Answer:

The answer is 4x^2-8x-2

Explanation:

Distribute 3 to all the numbers on the other parenthesis and the answer would be: 3x^2-6x-3

Now distribute x to that same parenthesis which would be like distributing one so it will be kept the same: x^2-2x-1

Now combine like terms:

3x^2-6x-3

x^2-2x-1

= 4x^2-8x-2
