3/4 + 1/3x = 6 Solve for x

(3)/(4) + (1)/(3)x = 6

Multiply both sides of the equation by 12


9 + 4x = 72

Move constact to the right-hand side and chancge it's sign.


4x = 72 - 9

Subtranct the numbers


4x = 63

Divide both sides the equation by 4

Solution:


x = (63)/(4)

Alternate Form:


x = 15 (3)/(4) x = 15.75

Just subtract 3/4 from both sides that divide 1/3 and x to get your answers
