on the bottom equation divide all numbers and variables by 2 to get the equation y=2x-2 then write the equation 7x-2(2x-2)=1 distribute to get 7x-4x+4=1 then combine like terms to get 3x+4=1 subtract 4 by one to get 3x=-3 then divide both sides by 3 to get x=-1
next plug in x to your y= equation to get the equation 2(-1)-2=y then solve by multiplying 2by -1 to get -2-2=y then solve and get y=4 so your points are (-1,4)

Answer:

on the bottom equation you can subtract 1 from both sides, x = 2y+1 so you substitute that in for x on the other equation, 7(2y+1) - 2y = 1 or 14y + 7 -2y = 1 then 12y = -6 y = -1/2 which you put back into the other equation, 2(-1/2) = x -1 so -1 = x - 1 then x = 0, the answer is (0, -1/2)
