Answer:

x = length of the rectangle = 24 m

Perimeter of the field = 80 m

Area of the field = 384 square meter

Explanation:

Width of the rectangle = 16 m

Ratio of the length and width = 3:2

Let

x = length of the rectangle

Ratio of the length and width = x : 16

Equate both ratios

x : 16 = 3 : 2

x/16 = 3/2

Cross product

x * 2 = 16 * 3

2x = 48

x = 48/2

x = 24

x = length of the rectangle = 24 m

Perimeter of the field = 2(length + width)

= 2(24 m + 16 m)

= 2(40 m)

= 80 m

Perimeter of the field = 80 m

Area of the field = length × width

= 24 m × 16 m

= 384 m²

Area of the field = 384 square meter
