Given:

The equation is:

y-5=(4)/(3)(x-5)

To find:

The graph of the given equation.

Solution:

Point slope form of a line is:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1) ...(i)

We have,

y-5=(4)/(3)(x-5) ...(ii)

On comparing (i) and (ii), we get

x_1=5,y_1=5,m=(4)/(3)

It means, slope of the line is
(4)/(3) and it passes through the point (5,5).

Putting x=2 in the given equation, we get

y-5=(4)/(3)(2-5)

y=(4)/(3)(-3)+5

y=-4+5

y=1

The line passes through the point (2,1). Plot the points (2,1) and (5,5) on a coordinate plane and connect them by a free hand curve as shown below.
