I know what the equation for these problem is and what x is but what is < measures? Are these measures the same? I could have asked the teacher but what if she think that I am annoying.

90 degree

total angle is the sum of x-18 and x

since the figure is forming right angle so angle is 90 degree

90=x-18 +x

x=54
