let y = f(x) and rearrange making x the subject

y = 2x - 10 ( add 10 to both sides )

y + 10 = 2x ( divide both sides by 2 )


(y+10)/(2) = x

Change y back into terms of x with x =
f^(-1) (x) , then


f^(-1) (x) =
(x+10)/(2) =
(1)/(2) x + 5 → D
