One day Terah, his son Abraham and his clan set out from Ur on a long and difficult journey to a land that God would later give them. ... Later on God reveals this to Abraham, "I am Yahweh," He said to him, "who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to make you heir to this land." (Gen 15: 7).
