it would be...3 1/4

1.Convert into same denominator:


11(3)/(4)=11(3)/(4)


8(1)/(2)=8(2)/(4)

2.Subtract the two fraction terms:


11(3)/(4)-8(2)/(4)=3(1)/(4)

Therefore, it would be 3 1/4.
