Guys I need help. How do I solve 3/4 + 5/8 + 2/3 - 1/6 ?

Explanation:

Literally find the common denomiator. That's the first step for any of these computational fraction problems.

Here are the following denomiators: 4,8,3,6. You notice that 24 is a multiple of all the numbers. Thus, our common denomiator is 24. Next we change each fraction based on our new denomiator

3/4 = 18/24

5/8 = 15/24

2/3 = 16/24

1/6 = 4/24

Now we do basic computation

18/24 + 15/24 + 16/24 - 4/24 = 45/24 = 15/8
